Guadalupe Mexican Bar and Grill in New York City

Had dinner with a friend last night and I was very satisfied. There was no wait time (extremely rare these days) and the waiters were wonderful. I really enjoyed my meal and drinks. I reccomend this place. I will be visiting again soon!

This restaurant is really pleasant to be in. Food it's really presentable, tasty and fresh. I recommend this location.

I love Guadalupe. It is a staple in Inwood. Id say it is one of the most consistent and reliable restaurants in the area. The drinks are always huge and strong, the food is always delicious and service is always on point. Sometimes there is a long wait time, still worth the wait regardless.

First tine here and loved it, the food is superb and surpassed my expectations

The rice and beans side are served in adish all their own and are flavored excuisitely.... The burrito is stuffed with great seasoned beef. Great joint

It was great! I loved my personal early Sunday dinner here. I got chicken quesadillas and margaritas as if it was happy hour. The game was on and I chillaxed! The atmosphere was quiet. Not too loud and no brunch crowd. TBH, I was looking for some brunch specials but maybe I got there too late because there was none. The service was great and attentive.

The overall experience of this restaurant was actually pretty good. I've heard many stories about how the wait times are really bad and about how it's over crowded, yes most of that is true. If you're planning on eating here make sure to plan ahead. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but will accommodate you and let you know how long you might have to wait to be seated. With all that in mind our wait time was about 15-20mins. The eating experience was definitely worth the wait, the appetizers were amazing (sadly they ran out of guacamole) and the drinks A+. I would definitely come again but I will make sure to do so early Mondays-Fridays. Good luck if you're here during the weekends.

Really good food but place is really loud and the waiting time gets ridiculous at times.After 10pm they have live music. The singer is pretty good and friendly. You can request songs from him.

My shrimp and mashed yuca was good and fulfilling but the veggies did not taste fresh; Furthermore my dads filet mignon did not taste like quality meat and it was a bit dry . The place is very pricy and the customer service wasn't bad it's just awkward how how they make you feel like they want you out quick . They rush through everything .. before u can even finish your plate their asking if your done. The ambiance wasn't for me either and all in all it just wasn't a memorable restaurant ; not quite sure what the hype is about .

This place offers fantastic service and delicious menu. The best restaurant around here. The food came out rapidly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Best fried calamari I've tried anywhere. Service is fast and friendly most of all the the food and drinks are great.

Amazing margaritas, slow service though. Food is decent but would think about it twice before going back. Unless you are craving great margaritas and don't mind the wait or standard food, there are better spots. Staff friendliness is a gamble.

Nice vibe and cool live music

You can substitute your sides. So you can double your asparagus instead of potatoes. Great for people who want to live healthier.

I've been here several times for lunch: for pick up when I had MealPal, lunch with my team, and also for happy hour. Food here has always been great although service can be a bit spotty at times. I always end up gorging on too many chips and salsa and spoil my appetite! My recommendations:

I came here for my Godmother’s birthday. I came to New York to visit and she said she wanted to come to this place. Omg! Service and food is great here. I loved it! Definitely going back when I go to NYC.

Recently celebrated my mom's birthday and we had a blast! Our waiter did mess up our food order twice lol, so just be sure you are very clear when ordering. But other than that, good spot! A bit pricy but worth the ambiance.

Celebrated my wife's birthday today, party of 8. Food and drinks were very good. Our server was great and the rest of the staff as well. We had a great time.

This place has some bomb ass steak.. on Wednesday they have lobster/steak/shrimp for the low.. The atmosphere is relaxed.. it dues get loud but hey.. and they have valet!!!

Love this place . The food and cocktails are always the best. This is the only restaurant I have visited more then 5 times and I don’t mind going again and again. The staff is polite.

Loved the music! The service was phenomenal. The margarita's were huge and strong. Just the way I like em. My steak enchiladas were delicious. My friend's rib eye was cooked perfectly it was so flavorful. My other friend's steak was way overcooked. He wanted MR and got Well Done. My second time here and aside from the overdone steak, everything was fantastic. Will always try to come here whenever I'm uptown.

Always go for the same dish, their churrasco is delicious. They cooked for you exactly how you order it. I ask for a side of salad and they accommodate me the best they can, which i love the salad. Didn't order the dressing on the side, and that was the way they presented.

Food is quite tasty here, except the tacos. Tacos are a waste of money. Try the chicken with yellow plantain.Prices are good for the amount of food.

Food is tasty but entree came out while halfway through appetizer. Got cold. Service is poor being 18% tip is included even if it just 2 of you. Drinks very poor bar, my cup was empty for 15 minutes.

Stopped in to Guadalupe for an impromptu lunch with a friend on the recommendation of my Barber. A steak & plantains lunch with a small bit of vegetables for under $10. Can't beat it and the special green side sauce was also a hit for both the steal and dipping the plantains. Frozen margarita was also good.

Found this place on yelp for my birthday celebration. First of all, mad easy to get to. The 1,9, A,C, and E arent that far and the bx12 leaves you close too. We were seated quickly - easy to find and great ambiance. The food was lovely, seasoned and well cooked. And HOOOOLY moly their drinks are strong. Usually it takes me 2-3 drinks to feel tipsy but after the first one got DAMB I was done. Not mad at it, lol. Really liked the place and my bf and I had a great time there. I would go back for sure

Honestly I absolutely love the food, everything comes nice and hot and really delicious. best 3 leches cake I have eaten too. The service is really good. The place is a bit small and the music is a little wack but the food is amazing. Also is better to reserve because depending on the date and time you go the waiting time is long.

Service was a bit spotty, the chips could be a bit better, and the fajitas weren’t too special. But the house special margarita was excellent, and the chicken stuffed with plantains is a marvelous dish.

We love going to this place their food is always on point, same for drinks. Love their wings appetizer and the Churrasco, I always get mine well done, even though in the picture looks darker than what really was. It was just perfect. My favorite drink there is the mixed berries sangria.

I just had the worst experience in this place and I’ve been here several times, first they tried to move me from my table because they wanted to seat more people, then they gave me my check without me asking for it when I clearly said I wanted to drink more, then after they made me pay they came back to my table without me finishing my drinks and asked me how long I was gonna take to leave because they wanted to seat someone else at my table again. I’ve never seen so much display of bad costumer service in my life, is that how you treat everyone? I’m astonished and very disappointed and dissatisfied. 🤦🏽‍♀️

The place is small and tight. The food is also salty. The alcohol is very strong as well.

My go to in Inwood. Love the churrasco! GREAT staff! Tamarindo margaritas. Are my favorite.
